Helping an older family member stay independent at home

One thing my family has been trying to figure out is how to give an older relative some extra support without making them feel like they can’t do things for themselves anymore. They’re still independent in many ways, but there are a few daily tasks where having another person around would definitely make things easier. We’ve started looking at home care Columbus options and I’m realizing that support doesn’t necessarily have to mean someone being there all day. It could be as simple as having help with meals, light housekeeping, getting ready, errands, or just having some company during the day. I think finding the right balance is probably the hardest part because we want them to stay comfortable in their own routine while also making sure they’re safe.
