People often ask me whether AI video will replace traditional animation, and I think the answer is more nuanced than a simple yes or no. Traditional animation offers precise control that AI cannot yet match, but AI offers speed and accessibility that traditional methods cannot beat. For my own projects, I use more information as a pre-visualization tool, generating rough video concepts to test camera angles and timing before committing to a full production. This approach saves me days of trial and error, because I can see how a particular shot will look within minutes rather than hours of manual storyboarding. Once I have a sequence that works, I can either use the AI-generated clip as a final asset or recreate it using traditional tools with higher fidelity. This hybrid workflow represents the best of both worlds, leveraging AI's speed for exploration and human skill for polish. I suspect this collaborative model will become the industry standard as creators learn to treat AI as a powerful assistant rather than a complete replacement for their expertise.
